Scientific research
Scientific Research
At Verloskundig Centrum Bergweg, we are happy to contribute to scientific research that helps improve care. For our clients, there are several studies in which you can participate on a voluntary basis. Below, we have briefly listed these studies for you.
Sneller Zwanger
Sneller Zwanger is a coaching app that supports you in adopting a healthy lifestyle, so you can start a pregnancy well prepared. In the app, you can earn coins that can be exchanged for fun gifts. By participating, you not only help yourself but also other women who wish to conceive.
Registration is possible via: www.snellerzwangerworden.nl
Generation R Next
Generation R Next studies the health of parents, babies, and young children before, during, and after pregnancy. You receive advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and coping with stress. Researchers examine the effects of this on pregnancy and the child’s development. The study includes measurements (such as height, weight, and blood pressure), blood and urine tests, questionnaires, and two appointments with 3D ultrasounds. Preferably, your partner also participates.

Hygeia-studie
The Hygeia-studie investigates whether an app can help improve lifestyle and reduce risks during pregnancy. You can participate if you are less than 14 weeks pregnant and have a BMI of 30 or higher. You will be assigned to a group with or without additional coaching via an app and two consultations. Both groups complete questionnaires. After completion, you will receive a €50 gift voucher.

PANDA-studie
The PANDA-studie is looking for pregnant women and their partners, with or without a psychotic or bipolar disorder or severe depression. The study focuses on the brain development of unborn and newborn children, using MRI and 3D ultrasound examinations during pregnancy and an MRI scan of the baby after birth. In addition, you participate in interviews, measurements, and questionnaires. After completion, you will receive a Bol.com gift voucher.

MiMoMent-studie
The MiMoMent-studie focuses on women who have migrated to the Netherlands and are pregnant in the first or second trimester (up to 24 weeks). The research addresses mental health and well-being. You complete four online questionnaires, available in Dutch, English, Arabic, and Turkish. Optionally, you can donate a small lock of hair for research purposes. By participating, you can receive up to €60 in gift vouchers.
